You know when you see a yarn for the first time, you pick it up, feel how soft it is, play with it for a while, and suddenly you know exactly what to do with it? Well, that happened to me when I saw the new Paton’s Metallic Yarn!
A lot of metallic yarns are scratchy, but this is sooooooo soft and shiny and lightweight. It was just screaming to be made into a summer sweater. So, I sat down and sketched out an idea for a pattern.
Here is the front panel of the sweater, knit in entrelac. This yarn is so shiny, I didn’t want to do anything fancy with it, but the entrelac combines stockinette stitch with some directional interest that I thought would look great.
More updates to come! (Btw… the picture doesn’t do the yarn justice.)
